This workshop, Freedom from the Past: Grieving the Losses and Traumas of Life, is designed to assist the participants in addressing and bringing resolve to issues surrounding losses of all kinds. Participants will learn about the grieving process and how they were taught to avoid feelings about their losses. Thinking processes will be explored as will patterns of destructive behavior following trauma and other loss. Issues pertaining to relational problems will be explored with emphasis on recognizing emotional reactions to loss, trauma and broken dreams. The participants also will be given several opportunities to process data pertaining to their feelings, to have someone listen and to resolve some of their distortions in thinking.
