Sexual Recovery is a five-day workshop that examines sexual compulsive issues and behaviors. Often we do not talk about our sexual experiences because the subject carries too much shame. This workshop helps to lift the shame and resolve sexual dilemmas and self-destructive behaviors. Chief among these compulsive behaviors are:

Sexual obsession and intrigue
Compulsive masturbation with or without pornography
Compulsive use of cybersex
Use of prostitutes, strip clubs, peeping or sex bookstores
Exposing oneself
Multiple or serial relationships

The workshop is best for those who want to:

Jumpstart their recovery process
Prevent relapse
Acquire tools to support continuing recovery

This workshop will offer a template of what constitutes healthy sexuality, a way out from one’s self-destructive behaviors. Our sexuality is our life force, the engine that moves us forward into new and productive experiences. Harnessing this energy in positive, healthy ways gives us hope to go on and be all that we can be. The way we act sexually is an expression of our sexuality. Our zest for life, sense of humor and compassion also are a part of this life force. When we allow the focus on our sexual behaviors to eclipse these aspects, we suffer difficult and oftentimes life-threatening consequences. Sexual compulsivity is treatable.

This workshop is designed to support the partners of sex addicts. During this weeklong process, participants will have the opportunity to begin healing the grief of relational betrayal. They will explore their relational templates, develop communication skills, establish boundaries, set goals, and move to places of personal empowerment.
